I have this in my garage - purchased as a refurb on another site and it works great and I swear it was brand new. Included wall mount brackets which was a nice bonus. Hooked it to my Chomecast Audio through the AUX port. I don't use the bluetooth.

Exactly what I needed for my small living room. I don't need a subwoofer so that one works great for the purpose of getting just better sound and clearer dialogue voice in movies. Thanks a lot.

The speakers in my 30" pc monitor are crapping out so I got this to sit right behind it. Then I can also use it via BT with my phone, tablet and chromebook.

I still have a larger vizio refurb sound bar from about 5 years ago on my tv. Looked like new when I got it and has worked flawlessly since.

If you need it to be this shape, maybe. There are a ton of clearance deals on last year's sound bars. A lot of them didn't support HDMI in this price range. Or companies change shapes/etc. There seems to be so many variations of these things!

Walmart has a VIZIO 2.0 Sound Stand (different shape) that I have that sounds awesome. $30 clearance: 38763671 brickseek (Has Bluetooth and a lot of other interfaces, only really lacking HDMI). Getting harder to find, but I saw several at local stores in recent weeks and they have slowly disappeared. As someone else mentioned, there is also a Sanyo in that price range.

I have never used soundbar so can anyone tell me if these really make a world of difference in the sound output of TV ? I don't intend to listen to mind blasting music or so. I just want to watch some TV.

It depends. For bedroom TV an optical-cable soundbar or digital RCA cable is awesome. Remote speakers WHERE you want them! Think of a drive-in cinema where you can put the sound right at your window and the picture off in front of the windshield. It turns bedroom / basement couch viewing into a much better experience when you don't need headphones but can still have loud volume without announcing to apartment neighbors or waking up children!
