Thank you for sharing.

I have this type of flashlight, but labeled with other brands' names. From what I know, they're essentially the same and are made by a handful of manufacturers, then branded afterward. There are at least two dozen brands with this type of flashlight on Amazon, and even more on eBay.

Is this actually 1600 lumens? Not even close - and not even half of that. Lumens on flashlights are pretty much unregulated, and even more so when the flashlights are made in China and sold by third-party Amazon merchants, many of whom are located in China.

With all that said, $7 is not a steep price, and I'd say these are brighter than virtually any flashlight you can pick up in a mainstream US store without spending more than $10. The zoom and different settings features are pretty neat. In a way, I would recommend this flashlight for certain usages. For example, I usually take a few of these camping; if I lose them or they break, then so be it. One or two hard drops will probably end these flashlights, but take care of them decently and they should be fairly reliable and can be used for more than a year or two years.

Do note that this flashlight requires a 18650 battery, which is not included. If you do not have a 18650 battery and would like to test out this type of flashlight, be certain to buy the battery and its corresponding charger.

I hope this helps,

I sure wish we could ban posts for this flashlight, and the similar one that gets posted so often:
http://slickdeals.net/f/8837251-cree-xpe-q5-600-lumens-7w-zoomable-led-flashlight-aa-battery-1-89-free-shipping

This is also the one that's sold "exclusively" through a TV commercial for $20/2. Saw it last night. says you can run over it with a Hummer. Isn't this also the one that was spammed everywhere awhile back as being banned, military used, blah, blah, blah?

Also if anything these are reposts (or spam), since they're the same flashlight:
http://slickdeals.net/f/8857783-cree-led-1600-lumens-torch-flashlight-adjustable-focus-zoom-light-lamp-7-19-on-amazon
http://slickdeals.net/f/8857851-hausbell-t6-led-flashlight-1600lm-torch-adjustable-focus-zoom-light-lamp-black-7-with-free-prime-shipping

Surely all these and similar posts are for pay.

Thank you for doing the research. If you think it's a shill posting of any sort, I highly recommend creating a moderator alert.

I create mod alerts on a regular basis and am rather tired of shill postings on Slickdeals. Some users are more difficult to catch because of various reasons, including refraining from posting shill threads for months or years before doing so.

Some of the most valued brands on Slickdeals are shilled, but many users have become such happy customers that threads with those brands are thumbed up quite quickly. On a related note, there are many users people seem to love, and they post shill deals. I would like to state that I think some brands that are shilled on Slickdeals and other deal sites do legitimately have excellent, high quality products, many of which I personally use.

The user in question here, calebyuen, has a lot of deal postings, and I do notice there are quite a few commonly shilled brands in those postings, including New Trent, Hausbell, and EasyAcc. However, I'd rather not jump to conclusions because I have not done a thorough assessment and calebyuen does seem like he or she is genuinely attempting to post deals that help the community.

And I'm much less likely to buy an item if someone simply posted it to get paid, even if it is a good deal, vs. someone that had no other reason to post a deal except that because it's a good deal.

Tofu Vic
Understood, but when the same products get posted over and over so often, and at the same prices, and even after getting negative reviews in every thread, something is going on.

And I'm much less likely to buy something (as in very unlikely) knowing someone posted the deal because they got paid, vs. a deal posted by someone who has no other reason to post it except that he/she thought it was a good deal.

$4.80 [amazon.com]
