Thread Details

Just went to a Target in Aurora CO and they had the Tom Tom Go 500 for $88 and change. Might be a good deal for someone looking for something like it. Going for 179.99 on their website.

Because it is still very useful. Even though I have google map on my phone, I still prefer using my Garmin GPS.

Almost every one. For long distance people still depend on GPS to avoid data charges on Phone network. And also GPS works in remote areas unlike Phone Maps which depends on Network.

Lots of reasons not limited to poor rural coverage, data savings, hiking, or international travel.

as long as their Maps up-to-date and report traffic...
I almost ran off the cliff with TomTom once. their Maps (teleatlas) were not as accurate as navteq.

Hahaha, reminded me of an old lady who made a U-Turn on the freeway because the GPS told her so, lol

Indeed. Just went back to buy it and noticed it had "online only" on the packaging. So it must have been sent to the store after not selling over the years. Still worth people to check the clearance section of their local Target store if shopping there... that's how I stumbled on this in case they dispersed it to other stores too.
