$10 per movie for 3D is upvote worthy, regardless of what you think of the films.

I got these used on hastings for the 3d versions bundles with other dics.. I just need one more to complete collection.

hobbit 1 was $4 and hobbit 2 was $10.50...

should be less then 30 once I get the last one...

haven't watched any just wanted to increase 3d collection.. one day I'll watch them and see what everyone is talking about.. some do like them so I hope I do to.

but 10 per 3d is very good.. if I didn't already start trying to get the collection in pieces I would jump on this

agreed. i wish there was a reduced version of these movies... i could have all been done in one 2hr film.

There are a number of projects making these into 2-to-4 hour movies.

The Tolkien Edit was first and is probably the most popular. The Maple Films one also looks good and supposedly closely follows the books. He also neatly excited all of the "Gandalf's Investigation" stuff into a 1-hour side movie.

1. There are fan edits of these films that bring the runtime down. I haven't checked into them, so I can't comment further- but they exist. Standard policy on Fan edits is that you should own a commercial version before getting a fan edit.

2. These aren't the extended versions, so be aware of that. Perhaps you want the theatrical versions.

3. They don't have the special features included in the extended versions. Which are the real value- if you're into that kind of thing. Very extensive behind the scenes stuff which Jackson and company excel at- even if the movies are stinkers.

You can use Flixster to covert UK's digital codes here in the US.

1. Download and install Firefox
2. Google for the anonymox plugin and install....
3. load firefox, go to flixster.com, a small box in lower right corner with ip address will display, click on it, options should open, select a uk proxy from the list and click on it, ip should change and something like uk5c or whatever should display with it
4. go to the movie redemption page, and wait for proxy to do it's magic, notice on movie page it should say offer valid in uk or something only....
5. enter code, login account, wait for movie to be added to account.

You can also do this via the 'Hola Better Internet' extension on Chrome Browser. Very easy and intuitive to use.

1) Install the Hola Better Internet Extension from Here -> https://chrome.google.com/webstor...o?hl=en-US
2) Once installed, click on it and enable it (don't select country yet)
3) Open a new tab and go to the Flixster redeem url
4) Click on Hola and select the UK flag (if redeeming UK code in USA)
5) The Flixster page will automatically reload
6) Enter your code to redeem

Other than buying a VPN subscription from StackSocial ($30 Lifetime) anyone know a free way to redeem Canadian or German codes?

I think Hola works for redeeming Canadian codes too. Just chnage the flag to Canada. Haven't tried that one myself though
