Surface Pro Clone Lenovo Miix 700+Keyboard Dock for Core M3 $499, M5 for $599, M7 for $799, Wacom Active Stylus $39.99. I list the devices and the links below
-----

Note in the wiki Section I explain why I call this computer a Surface Pro 4 clone since it has almost all the same features and same type of design and form factor. This is not a negative term calling it a clone but instead recongizing what these devices have in common. It can be argued that instead of calling itl it a Surface Pro 4 clone a better name should be similar computer

I have the previous version, broken within warranty, spend several months in the service center, and the last time they ship it back to me, it was not even fixed, and they refuse to do anything about it. I still have all the emails, service history screen shots and service sheets just to remind myself never ever buy tablets from Lenovo again.

Before buying the Surface 3 I looked at the Miix 700. Glad I passed on Lenovo.

Even though I am not involved in your situation, for I have nothing to do with it or lenovo...I am sorry you had to deal with that.

If you have all the e-mails, did you file a BBB complaint (Better Business Bureau)? Doing so for any company often takes care of problems, for it whenever such a complaint occurs a new person gets involved (at Lenovo) and they really want to get it taken care of, for it looks bad if they do not.

https://www.bbb.org/consumer-complaints/file-a-complaint/get-started?source=cibr&bbbid=0593&bid=9006... [bbb.org], I have already selected Lenovo's US headquarters.

Thanks a lot! I will look into that.

Also, I am not the only one who have to deal with Lenovo's poor service.
Google "Lenovo Case Manager Not Responding", you will find links to their forum, there are many more victims.Their call center is out of US, the agents are nice, but in many situations, all that they could do is to send an email to the CM, and CM just ignore it.
If you try to directly contact CM through phone, it directly goes to voice mail. If via email, they feed you excuse that does not make any sense, even if you manage to prove s/he was wrong through hard evidence, they will just come up with a new one or simply ignore your email.

And all above is just a tip of the iceberg, they have other problems like denial of well-known issues, endless "part shortage" in the service center within the first year of product release etc. Maybe not the worst, but close.

If you're going to spend $700 on something like this, why not spend a couple of hundred more to get the real thing. It'll save some stress in having to get it fixed

The $899 Surface Pro 4 uses a core M3, the cheap smaller screen Surface 3uses intel atom and is $499, and does not come with keyboard or stylus for that $499. That said the crappy intel atom Surface 3 is sometimes on sale for $379, but it still uses the crappy intel atom, has no keyboard included in price, and has no stylus included in price

Surface Pro 4 price

The $899 Surface Pro 4 uses a core M3, 4gb memory, 128 gb storage+ ( N-Trig Stylus Price Included ) +
The $129 Surface Pro 4 Keyboard

=$1029 total

vs

Lenovo Miix 700 Price

The $599 Lenovo Miix 700, uses a faster core m, 4gb memory, 128gb storage + (Lenovo Keyboard Price Included)
The $39.99 Lenovo Active Pen (wacom tech)

=$639 total

So for $390 dollars cheaper, you get a similar Lenovo tablet and a faster CPU (core m5 vs core m3)

and if you are fine with 64gb storage instead of 128gb storage you can get the same speed core m3 processor for $490 cheaper than the core m3 Surace Pro 4 ($1029 total for core m3+keyboard Surface Pro 4 vs $539 total for Lenovo Miix 700+Stylus)

Put another way the Surface Pro 4 with the core m3 vs the Lenovo core m3 is almost twice the price.

Yup Lenovo has screwed me on a few occasions with their low tier products. I know that's what they are aiming for but they have a reputation for crap products from my point of view. Be cautious.

Somehow after I replied your PM, it does not show up in the sent items guess I will post it here.
I tired it with discover card, but they said that when the tablet was broken, it was still under warranty which is not covered by their extended warranty.
Still, thanks a lot for the help! I never knew about BBB before your reply, learnt something new and useful. Smilie

I got the private message response where I recommended you also look into getting your credit card company involved. I am still sorry about your situation with Lenovo and the Discover Card. I hope the BBB is able to help you. I still think this computer newegg Lenovo sale is a great deal, but I completely understand how a personal experience like that leave a completely sour taste in your milk and why you will never recommend Lenovo again.

Personal Rant Below.
The sad thing is I know that it happens with more companies than Lenovo for I used to work selling computers in Retail and it pissed me off the times when companies did not honor their limited warranties during their first year as they were supposed to, as well as the company I worked for which sold extended warranties ... if there was doubt whether it was normal wear and tear covered by the Brick and Mortar Extended Warranty or if it was physical damage caused by neglect or abuse by the user which was not covered by the extended warranty... they stated it was always the user's physical damage if there was any uncertainty and it was not clear that it was. This despite the fact that this company's warranty was more expensive than a competitor's Square Trade warranty that did actually cover physical damage even once you figured in the Square Trade's deductible, and that this company's profits on the extended warranty were so great that it made sense just to fix it in order to keep the customer happy and to encourage him or her to buy extended warranties in the future.

Sigh, I am so glad I no longer work retail for seeing that problem occurring with my own eyes just makes me angry.

And I am all for if a company personally screwed you with their warranty, by all means be angry with them, and recommend people not buy their products for they did not stand by you and their product.

Do y'all recommend this clone over then Surface pro 4? Seeing the word clone makes me think the product is sub standard.

Clone is the wrong word to use. It's like saying a Galaxy Note tablet is a clone of a iPad simply because it is a tablet.

There are lots of Windows based tablets with keyboard docks. There are a few with active stylus. I think the title is extremely misleading.

I actually have never had a problem with Lenovo...having owned the Yoga 1 - 3 myself. Their customer service (via IM) has worked hard to help me resolve my issue. Maybe I got lucky. Maybe not.
