This is a great watch for sports enthusiasts
Amazon recently sold new for $340 but I have not seen this watch lower that $340 ever.

This is a great watch, pretty much the standard for triathlon watches. I expect prices to continue to drop, as Garmin just released a newer model, the 735 XT. I have both, and while they're both fantastic, IMO, each has some advantages over the other.

920XT Advantages:

Longer battery life. While either should get the slowest of us through a Half Ironman, the 920 is a lot more likely to stay on during a full distance race than the 735XT. For a Sprint, Olympic, or HIM, they should both work fine. This may be a dealbreaker to those of us who sit at the end of the pack in a full distance triathlon, or an all-day bike ride, or ultra distance race.

Detachable, Quick Release kit available. A big advantage of the 920 is the ability to quickly move it from your wrist to a bike mount, using a standard Garmin bike mount. I used this feature because monitoring your watch is a lot easier when it's right at the center of your handlebars. It's not a dealbreaker, but something to consider.

Barometric altimeter. Another "not quite a dealbreaker" for me, but the 920 measures elevations more accurately than the GPS based altimeter on the newer model. I ran a full marathon last month (the Bayshore marathon in Traverse City, MI), wearing the 735, and it looked almost flat on the graph, rather than a series of slight hills.

Wifi AND Blutooth antennae. This isn't a big deal if you use your phone to communicate with your watch, but a convenience if you don't like to carry your phone with you. The Wifi will connect whenever you're in range of your network, or can be set up to update as you pass into range of a Wifi signal (for example, if you run past a Starbucks, etc). The 735 has Blutooth only, which requires you to carry your phone if you want to use features like LiveTrack (where you can send links to friends, family, Facebook, Twitter and people can follow your progress in real time on a map. A good safety feature, that I use a lot).

735XT Advantages:

Optical Heart Rate Monitor. While the information collected is more detailed using a chest strap HRM, the convenience of having it with you all the time is pretty significant. I can pass on the strap for more casual activities, like going to the gym, a leisurely walk or bike ride, or doing cardio at home. This also paints a more complete picture when using the device as an all-day activity tracker.

Smaller form factor. This looks more like a normal watch (it's almost identical to the 630 that I used for running), not a big, blocky chunk on your arm like the 920.

Slightly improved telemetry. Although the 920 firmware has been updated to make the two models virtually identical in function, there's a few small bells and whistles that only the 735 can do.

Basically, other than noted above, the two watches do almost everything identically. The few small differences is why I'm keeping both watches, rather than selling off the older one (920) to help pay for the new one (735).

Not sure how great this price will be, in the big picture, as it will depend on whether the 920 holds a spot in the Garmin line up (it should, in my opinion, for the noted reasons), but I highly recommend this watch to a runner, cyclist, swimmer, or anyone who wants a high end fitness watch at a decent price.

Here's a VERY thorough review:

I agree with everything jdpatt has said. I just picked up the Forerunner 920XT 3 months ago after trying out the Forerunner 235 (which is the same hardware-wise as the 735). Partially for the additional triathlon features but also because I found the optical HRM bump uncomfortable. I love the 920XT, for its square screen (I found it easier to read than the round screen of the 235/735) and for its great battery life as jdpatt mentioned.

On a side note, just be aware that if you buy it off eBay you won't be getting warranty from Garmin. Here's the relevant excerpt from Garmin's warranty info:
Quote :

Online Auction Purchases: Products purchased through online auctions are not eligible for rebates or other special offers from Garmin warranty coverage. Online auction confirmations are not accepted for warranty verification. To obtain warranty service, an original or copy of the sales receipt from the original retailer is required. Garmin will not replace missing components from any package purchased through an online auction.
This is definitely a great price though, I bought mine refurbished for $363 from an online retailer because I wanted to make sure Garmin (and so my credit card company) would honored the warranty.

On Amazon now, there are a couple of sellers (GPS City and GoGo Devices) are selling refurbished 920XT for ~$315. These sellers are using Amazon to fulfill their orders, so I think a few bucks more to go to Amazon rather than eBay is worth it for those who are interested.
