Free shipping w/ prime

Movie is not good but buy this if you have a 3D set. It will not disappoint. If you don't have a 3D system, skip it.

When Jaws breaks through the underwater control center, that was some real 3D sh*t right there.

Beautiful Blu-ray release for a very underrated film
Jaws 3D is among the most misunderstood films to come from the early 80s 3D holocaust. Although
the film will never live up to the greatness of the first film, it definitely doesn't deserve the
reputation it has in my opinion. And while I still enjoy Jaws the Revenge, Jaws 3D is Oscar worthy in
comparison to it. One of Jaws 3D's biggest criticisms is the fact that it' special effects have not aged
well. They are blatantly bad. Seeing them in 2D only increases their hilarity. The film was made to be
in 3D, and that is how the film is meant to be viewed: in 3D. I feel that the 3D version of the film is
what truly makes this release a must have for fans of the franchise. Seeing Jaws 3D in its true form
is a completely different viewing experience. The 3D effects are great, particularly the iconic scene
when the shark breaks through the glass. And even if you cannot view the film in 3D, this is
probably the best the film will ever look. Jaws 3D was filmed using the Arrivision 3D System, which
gave the film beautiful 3D visuals but a very ugly grainy texture in some scenes, specifically night
scenes out of the water. The scene with Sean and Kelly playing on the beach at night is by far the
worst, and I hate to say it, but the grain ALMOST ruins the whole scene. I'm not very familiar with
how noise reduction works, but I'm sure trying to get rid of it would probably screw up the image,
though don't quote me on that because I don't know. With that said, the video quality of the disc is
wonderful. I'm only giving it 4.5 because of the grain in certain scenes. There is a lot of detail now
visible, particularly in the underwater scenes. When the shark swims out of the darkness heading for
Phillip in the filtration pipe, you can see nearly every detail on Bruce 3D's face, blowing the regular
DVD's quality out of the water. The color correction is also a big plus, once again especially in
underwater sequences. The sound quality is very good as well. Very good foley art, especially with
the underwater ambience and Bruce 3D's jaws closing on her victims. And although sharks do not
actually growl, the low roar when she opens her mouth will give you goose bumps if you have a good
system. You really feel she is coming at you with the 3D glasses on.

I am very, very happy with this release and cannot wait to get my own 3D television for my own
personal viewings. I've been waiting for years to see the film in 3D, and my life is now complete with
this Jaws 3D Blu-Ray release. It's the little things in life that truly count. Thank you Universal!

This movie is awful... and yet, I'm dying to see it in 3D. In for one, thanks.

Just a fair warning: I really hesitate to recommend this for the 2D experience, if you haven't got 3D. Whereas the DVD is fairly watchable, some of the darker scenes on the bluray are absolutely hideous to behold due to the terrible cocktail of grain from the right-lens transfer and blurriness from the medium.

In a word, a good portion of the film is simultaneously beer-goggles blurry but also sharp and grainy.
