If you're handy with tools and have a steady hand, it's not too bad. I got the upgrades done in about 15 minutes with the help of this video: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ByyYIzs6Cs8

There's only one memory slot and 8Gb is the limit. Be sure to get DDR3L-12800 memory otherwise it won't boot.
Great deal OP. However, it's only a matter of time before the trolls come out and complain about the resolution, that 4GB of ram is not enough, that the hard drive should be 7200 RPM, and that this laptop is not capable of making them a cup of coffee.
Got this in the last go around for $213 open box. Plugged in a 8Gb SODIMM and a 240Gb SSD, did a clean Win10 install. 7 seconds from power on to desktop.

Cheap keyboard/trackpad and a flimsy case, but for the price you can't beat it.

Thanks for providing the insight, literally. I am planning to get one for my Dad for his office work. How easy is to open this one and access the internals.

In that case, I think I can do it with ease as I have some experience. And yes, it has one Ram slot, so 8GB is max it supports. Let me update it in the main post as well.

It is now a trend of complaining too much about Display resolution and if it is not 1080P then everything is bad. These people forget, even in today, most of the Business Laptops like HP Probook and Elitebook, Toshiba Portege, Lenovo Thinkpad laptops below $600 come with 768P display and they are perfectly fine for any document related or office works.

Don't forget the backlit keyboard. And it really should be an SSD. LMAO

But seriously, those are all legitimate concerns, but nobody in their right mind expects any of that at this price point.

At this price point you're basically getting an i3 for the price of a Celeron/Pentium. So a good deal if you're in the market for a bargain basement laptop.

I bought this when it was sold for 247$. The fan was making screeching sound.
Returned it.

Don't want to deal with Geek squad idiots once again.
I am out.

This is a new one, not a geek squad certified refurbished product.

Agree. But they gave me a hard time when I went to exchange it.
So I ended up returning it.
