Fry's has the 65LM (no traffic information) version for $90, refurbushed. $50 for new and traffic info, your call.

Personally I found the traffic info of Garmin could be a hit or miss time by time although Garmin states their data source is plentiful and accurate. Besides, Garmin doesn't re-routing as quick as (if it ever does) Google or Waze does in case of traffic.

BTW I highly recommend you to get the fiction mount if you decide to buy, the suction cup sucks.

yes they do, cell phone data is not available everywhere to use your cell phone as a navigator

Note that LMT stands for Lifetime Maps and Traffic.

A big advantage with the 65 is dual orientation.
Most GPS units have only landscape orientation, so on the map shown you see a lot of what is to the sides (which is not of major interest), but less to what is ahead of you (which is what you really want to see). So you can set the 65 to portrait ("vertical") orientation to see more of what is ahead.

While my Garmin is not the same model, I offer the following observations:
maps are updated several times a year
download of map updates takes a long time (think hour+) even with fast internet
I needed to get a memory card for the unit the first time I updated the maps, even though I erased all but the essential files on the unit.

I presume when judsonzhao mentions a fiction mount he means friction, also known as bean bag mount. I, too, use a bean bag mount.

Not a bad deal considering the refurbished is only $20 less.

Worth the money. Simple navigation from point A to point B. Includes lots of customizable options. Picking one up for my wife's car.

It's still cheaper to just download an offline map and navigate that way using the phone's GPS only...No cell data required

Even though most of the cars i owned had gps, I always preferred using my phone as a gps bc i can type on it faster to put in locations.
