Wow! Nice price for a 2k. What's the catch? According to reviews the stand is average and looks like the screen is a hit or miss. Any prior owners care to share?

This monitor is/was popular for being overclockable 96Hz-120Hz. At one time was one of the few options if you wanted something other than a TN panel with a fast refresh.

Overclock tread about it:

It does have a crap stand and only a dvi input. If I remember correctly it uses an off grade samsung panel. Though it is an good monitor if you are looking for a monitor with decent color and refresh rate without breaking the bank.

just buy gsync or freeasync these monitors are old and obsolete..

put your money into a real brand with a warranty,,

These korean monitors were good from 2013-2015 now they suck , even the new ones

gsync and ULMB is where its at.!

id buy this monitor for no more than 149.00

According to Nvidia my video card, GTX 750i, should handle this resolution. However the overview section on Newegg website doesn't list that card as compatible. Whom should I believe?

I'm almost certain that it is compatible with the 750 ti. I have a friend who uses these with lesser graphic cards.

Thank you for that. Now to convince the Secretary of the Treasury, Mrs. Letsrock, that we can't live without this!

I bought the DisplayPort version of this monitor for connection to a MacMini this past winter off of eBay. I paid $210ish and it is worth every penny. This display on this monitor is gorgeous with great color. I'm a designer and not a gamer so I can't speak much to the refresh rate. And yes the housing is kinda crap, it's out of date and it pretty plasticy. But with comparable dells and HPs running $500+ I'll take this QNIX housing and basket of 3 Benjamin's anyday 'cause when I'm looking a a monitor I'm looking at the screen, not the housing.

Rumor has it that this panel is the same as the Apple Display but with swapped housing. And while I'm not going to be taking things apart to confirm, I can say it sure looks close!

Man I sound like a salesman. I promise I was not paid to say any of this shit.Wink Just hope this helps somebody as I've had a few friends buy this monitor after seeing mine.

Oh I should also state that mine wasn't a "perfect pixel" version, Meaning if mine had a LITTLE backlight bleed and fewer than 5 dead pixels I couldn't try to return it as defective. Luckily mine ended up being perfect anyway with no dead pixels. I mention this because I would've had to pay an extra $50 I think to have a guaranteed "pixel perfect" monitor. So this is a really good deal.

I wanted to get this for dev purposes, but the bezel really ruins it for me in multiple monitor setups.

I just bought the same exact model and I love it I have my overclock to 96 Hertz from time to time but you need a color profile for the colors to be corrected at that refresh rate other than that the stand is sort of shaky but not a big deal the screen is crystal clear I got no dead pixels a small tiny amount of backlight bleed and I paid 220 for it and I love it oh yeah and it just has a dvi-d port

There's a lot of users that actually debezel the monitors. I'm not sure if they're still doing it, but on overclock.net they were doing this years ago and it looks good, just a bit of DIY if you're up for it. Users that have done it typically do guides and write ups. I have two of these monitors and they're well worth the price coming from a TN panel set up these look awesome. The stands do suck, but they're not near as bad as most have described in my experience. I just recently mounted them with a dual monitor arm and taking the housing off of the back of the qnix monitors is also not a tedious task just make sure you watch YouTube tutorials and you will pretty much have to try to break anything. Hope this helps you guys out!

Agreed 100%. I've owned it for about 2 years now and looks fantastic. Especially if you're doing video or photography!
