1080p at 29" is actually about right, for ultrawide. For the 34" you definitely want 1440p.

PM to Staples = $599 - $290 - $29 (110% PM) = $280 + tax ~$300. Use 3x $100 Staples GCs (purchased for $85 from eBay) = $255 OoP + all kinds of cash back.

This is a very good deal for this Ultrasharp version. When it came out it was over $600, as I recall. I never did get one of these (though I have several other UltraSharp monitors which tend to be my favorite). For this form factor, I ended up going for the LG 29" wide model which was much lower in price at the time. The LG was $300 2 years ago, and has dropped lower at times since then. The LGs are fine, affordable IPS monitors, minimal in terms of features.

This is the first time I've seen the Dell Ultrasharp around that same price -- and apparently new; not a refurb or off-lease model! And the UltraSharp has all the nice extra features many users really appreciate, like lots of inputs, USB 3 hub, highly-adjustable stand, etc

i have both this monitor and the lg (dell at home, lg at work) and the dell is far superior (i suppose obviously).

It's a great monitor, especially for this price, and truly hard to not pull the trigger on this...

Its for something else. Trying to burn my Dell reward points before I lose them and dell has been quiet on giving discounts. This is for dell.com.

Denied on the PM, claiming that their placeholder model number (STP-xxxxx) makes this a different product from every other U2913WM ever.

Staples can suck it.

I have a 5% code and a 10% code in my e-mail, but I think I'll be using my 10% code soon. You're welcome to the 5% if you can't find one better.

After using a 24" monitor with 1200, I have a hard time using monitors with only 1080.

I'm assuming this would be much superior to the lg 29" ultrawide if it has any kind of gloss screen at all. I test drove the LG 29 from Beat Buy and yuck, that matte screen was awful

Figured this might be 3440x1440.. nope. Kind of a shame. I hate 1080p vertical, feels too restricting.
