Am I the only nerd who came looking for a "Halo 2" headband, like the Microsoft video game?

I'm a heavy sweater, and I've tried these, sweat gutr, headsweats, all sorts of headbands. Honestly the best is just a regular buff, scrunched up into a headband. Way more absorbent, and you can use it in other ways too.

Here is another option if you prefer more traditional skull caps with UV protection (or want flaps):

http://slickdeals.net/f/8859139-skull-caps-helmet-liners-1-or-2-w-flap-6-shipping-at-pricepoint-com-neck-sleeve-patch-kit-and-flopak-100oz-hydration-pack-also-on-sale?v=1

I've tried the halos and did not like the feel of the rubber sweat gutter and it does not provide top of head sun protection (for us thin haired people who need to prevent sunburned scalp). Thick haired runners may like this better than full head protective skull caps.

Comes down to personal uses and personal preference. This is a good price if you get the genuine Halo product and not the knock-offs that people posted in some reviews.

Just noted the link above for those who prefer full coverage skull caps / helmet liners.

I find a regular bandana works well also for most uses - I'm going to try the quick drying material skull caps in the link above to see if I like them better based on positive reviews from fellow riders. They are cheap enough on sale to give them a try...

Let's go riding! bounce

I have the regular skull cap version. I've used it for five years now on bike rides as well as three marathons. For me, i can't run without it. If i forget it on a long run i regret it after a couple of miles.
