Have to second everyone talking about purchasing another. I purchased this monitor about 3 months ago and it's going strong. The included remote is a nice perk, but the display is super sharp and crisp. The fact that it had multiple HDMI 2.0 ports is the real value add on this over any other monitor in a similar price range.

One other thing to keep in mind is that since 4k is a direct multiple of 1920x1080 you can downscale this monitor to 1080p and play games that look just perfect at that resolution as well (4 pixels == 1 pixel), in case you don't yet have a card with enough power to use 4K for gaming.

be advised crossover engineers fraudulently misrepresent their products as having hdcp 2.2 support on their hmdi 2.0 port - i would not trust this company at all, as english customer service and support is non existent, and 30 days after you buy from dreamseller, he won't give a shit about you either. don't believe me? translate this; http://www.crosslcd.co.kr/board.h...&category= last summer crossover sold junk 4k's that didn't meet advertised specs. 6 months later they admitted the fraud and would ship out replacement parts - they never did, nor did they create any mechanism for overseas customers or even their korean resellers to secure these fictitious repair parts. we all know getting korea direct monitors is a risk, but doing so from crossover is asking for double the trouble. dreamseller is one of the better korean resellers, but do yourself a favor a pick a different manufacturer sold by DS.

which upstar?

i have three of these now, so my triple monitor set up is complete. pretty decent for the price. the color on one of them has a yellowish tint to it that's only noticeable from an angle and has a dead pixel. otherwise it's ok.

I bought this the last time around. No dead pixels at all. Great for the price. I'd get another if I had the budget for it. The color is great, contrast looks good.

looking at the viewing angles, probably TN, maybe VA, but not IPS. However, there is a huge scale when talking about TN panel quality. I have a nice Asus TN panel I could have sworn was as good as IPS... until I got a nice IPS sitting beside it... It's still pretty close though.

170 is TN - definitely NOT VA

Looks the same with different electronics/ports. Even the Upstar has two variations in the same model

Just me who thinks comments in this thread seem fake?

Great monitor, I love the included remote that came with it. Be sure to get USA power cable because it comes with Korean one. It is a TN panel, not IPS but it still looks very good. Look at review from Tek Syndicate.

Using this monitor right now. I purchased it about 3-4 months ago during the first $299 sale. Excellent quality, and no issues yet. 1 dead pixel, but it's only noticeable 2" or closer to the screen. Highly recommended.
