With a Prius on a similiar device I could only get 1.4amps out max... anyone had any better luck with these or similiar devices that say 2.1amp?

I use the tester in this link. you would be surprised which cable really aren't so good.
http://www.banggood.com/Kcx-017-L...50855.html

Anyway when in the house the tester truly shows 2.1 amps. Future ones I will buy at frys or at least a place I can return it. Any thoughts out there?

Actually since I do lyft, this would be pretty cool for customers but cleaner to have that 6 in 1 cable instead. Just my thoughts on this item...

I didn't quite understand the quick charge, is it just the Voltage/Amp that's making it charge quicker or is it something special? For example, if it's 12v/1.2A, it is faster than 5V/2.1A. But the latter is sth. a lot of power supply has and all cellphone/tablet can take advantage. Yet the quick charge won't charge device that doesn't support it at all, or won't charge it at the quick charge speed?

Thanks.

Turns off when full charge worries me. Have had problems with things not turning back on when charge depletes.

I've googled and didn't see answers for my very specific questions. If you know it, enlighten me. Otherwise you'd serve the board better by staying silent.

I've read several sources including Qualcomm's own Q&A [qualcomm.com]. While I missed the part that explained that QC does work for non QC device too, my 1st question wasn't answered still, even with the link you quoted.

Basically QC is presented as this cool thing that's new and great. But lots of chargers had 2.1 amp for a while. So are those chargers equivalent to QC 1.0, just not certified by Qualcomm or QC 1.0 charger actually has some added magic?

My current devices are charged plenty fast with the 2.1 amp chargers that cost very little, I don't know if the QC 2.0 is actually worth it to go for at all if at best is only charging 50% faster based on the wattage diff. (also it's only for 0-70% battery as later charging are throttled and probably similar). So if my current charger would charge a 2500 mAh phone battery to 100% in 1.5 hrs (first 70%) + 1 hr (later 30%) = 2.5 hrs, this QC2.0 would do it in 1 hr + 1 hr = 2 hrs. Not a big deal at all.

That's why I ask if QC has some added magic, or it's only because of bigger wattage due to bigger V or bigger A.

qc 2.0 in particular is 12v and 1.2amp I believe.. if your device supports it no doubt it will charge faster but I have to agree it hasn't been really noticeable to me from the house and vehicle charging it at 5v 2.1amp

Thanks. I'll probably skip then. Having 3 ports is nice, but I can't think of needing to charge 3 devices at once in one port - I do have another port in the back that gets used by backseat.
