This processor was released in the end of 2010/beginning of 2011. It's almost 6 years old.

It has fairly good performance, even by today's standards.

But by today's standards it will use a lot of electricity for that performance.

If you're okay with that, it's a pretty good deal.

Personally I'd consider paying a bit more for something more modern. But to each their own.

So? I am still using Core Duo's that I got from work. Yes they aren't powerful, but are perfect for kids to play games online and for me to pay my bills.

You'll probably want to upgrade to an ssd anyways, so that will not likely be a problem.

Not really problem, 120GB SSDs are very cheap, probably just go with at 240GB SSD and no problems. I just picked up an refurb i5-2500 Lenovo 91P SFF almost 2 months ago for about $185 from newegg, really solid buy.

Just a note, I have some of these at work. They have proprietary motherboard and ps that do not work with anything else nor can be replaced by a shelf bought piece.

But for 130 bucks, not much to expect anyways.

Thanks for sharing that info. I was contemplating buying one of these for the ram+cpu+mobo to put into another case.
