If it helps you handle many whelps better or not stand in fire, then yes.

In all seriousness, if you have a 27", I see no reason to drop near $300 if you only play WoW unless you want a larger resolution.

The 29" is NOT height adjustable while the 34" is for those that care.

as you get into pc gaming, you learn a lot of tricks to get around things. widescreen gaming forums and working within a game's .ini file(s) becomes natural. most things like custom resolutions can be forced this way. I fully went through the same thing the 16:9/10 community did when we switched from the forever standard 4:3, it's no different and worthwhile for this immersive format. i don't need it, but those 34" are so tempting...

Some games lock it out and you can't make it work no matter what.

I have the nom gsync version of the 29 inch and I love it. Scored mine for$200 at BB a while back. IPS panel has some glow, but the picture is great.

It's great for WoW. You should be able to run wow with DSR and get a great looking game at almost 4k rez with DSR.

970 (and all Nvidia cards) do not support Freesync because Nvidia wants you to spend the extra for GSync. Its a good monitor but you won't be able to take advantage of Freesync

Not completely true, you can still turn on Freesync on the monitor (29") which allows you to up the refresh to 75hz and turn on adaptive sync in the nvidia control panel. It's not full free/gsync but it's still nice. Completely agree 21:9 is awesome for WoW. Most of the PC games I've come across lately not supporting uwd are console ports fyi
