As many know by now, Walgreen's has a systemic problem with the way they scan valid coupons, where a coupon will scan fine but then the next coupon beeps even though a) it is identical to the first one scanned, b) the second item in your transaction is identical to the first item, and c) the coupon does not have any limits of one per person or one per transaction. I think it would be helpful if we kept a record of the coupons that behave this way only at Walgreens. I would suggest posting the actual coupon, the source, and the date the coupon would not scan. If you have experience like this, please feel free to add to the list. I'll start it off. If the list gets long enough, we could create a wiki.

Coupon: $2/1 Oral-B Adult Battery Toothbrush.
Source: June 2016 P&G
Problem: Two coupons scan fine, but third will not scan.
Date: 6/24/16
Sale: Buy 3 Oral-B and get RR

For me,

After the first coupon, it treats the rest of them as if coded for "buy 2"

Centrum $4
Flonase $4, $10
Nicoderm $10
Cerave $4
Schick various
and more.

Almost as if they dont want you to shop there.

Quantity button still seems to be a massive issue there. I had 6 boxes of Chex, used 3 of the $1/2 coupons and only the first one scanned.

Did the same transaction with them ringing them up 1 at a time and the coupons all scanned fine.

Moral of the story is if I am using coupons on something I try to get them to ring up the items 1 at a time.

I am sure there are still other issues as well with coupons there as well but just make sure this isn't polluting your data points.

might want to add a note in the wiki to not allow cashier to use quantity key on products for which you want to use coupons since that is also a known issue.

Good point. But quantity button was not the issue for the oral-b coupons. Neither is at an issue only at one specific store.

This is a long-time problem that used to be restricted to only a few coupons (like Axe). But it seems to be a widespread problem now.

I laughed out loud when I saw this thread..
Ha ha ha
Long over due! Thanks Mike!

Battery brush q I'm guessing is just coded for two. I had the cashier test out adding to the order 4 or 6 and it scanned fine for every other one.

I had an issue using multiples with, I believe it was $1/3 Stride. I discovered that each coupon needed a different flavor to attach to. (7 of one and 1 each of two others would accept 3 coupons while 7 of one and 2 of another would only accept 2).

Was the cashier hitting quantity on the 7? She has to scan each one individually for the q's to work.

Revlon - where to begin? I am so pissed off at Wags right now. First of all, the q has 2 barcodes. You have to cover the top one. Yesterday, they scanned fine but today they wouldn't scan after the 2nd one. I had 2 orders. The first one had 4 Revlon and the second one had 1 Revlon. After the first 2 q's scanned, nothing else would scan. It's obviously something that Wags has programmed their registers to do - reject perfectly valid q's.

I'm thinking that the coupons being entered manually caused me to lose my 20,000 points. It is so difficult to plan these transactions to minimize oop (because there's never a good points to RR roll) and then have it all messed up because a q won't scan...

They didn't scan probably because you got top coats, they are coded differently. Revlon has about six different family codes they use for the nail polish...frustrating.

Garnier $2/1 add to the list

All of my nail polishes were the $3.99 ones. The first two scanned. The third one, which was the same color from the same row as the first two, didn't scan. The next two were different colors and didn't scan. I didn't think to try to rescan the first two and see if they would work. I guess I should've tried that because maybe they had different labels or something. I really doubt it but with Wags anything is possible. Actually, I should say everything is impossible... laugh out loud

I had no issues with the $2/1 Garnier q's scanning. There is a lot of store to store variation at Wags.
