What's the return policy like? I'm looking to get my first mechanical keyboard. I'm mostly interested in typing and not really gaming, but was told that red switches were the quietest.

You might not like red switches for typing. They are primarily for gaming and feel a bit weird for typing.

I have the k65 and the reds are great for typing in my opinion. I don't need a weird bump or a loud click to know I pressed a key so it works out fine.

What would you recommend for mainly for typing? Blue?

Having tested red, blue, brown and black switches for typing, I've enjoyed using red switches the most. This is of course subject and really varies from person to person. I'd maybe go into some electronics store and test them for yourself, if they're available.

The noise level depends on how hard you hit the keys and bottom out. But generally yes, they are pretty quiet at compared to something like blue switches.

Brown or Blue. Both are good for typing but Blue is noisy. It makes a loud click sound to let you know that the key has been activated. This usually isn't an issue for the person using the keyboard but it may be for people in the surrounding area.

I have the older 'regular' K65 RGB. Is there a big difference between that and the Lux model?
