Glad prices are coming down. I'll bite when they hit sub-$100 prices. :-)

Not if you own a Samsung nx500 or 1, otherwise yes it's a bit pricey but it's stunning with real 4K source material and worth it for those of us who value it beyond demo material.

You're gonna wait 1-2 years? By then I'm sure the uhd bluray selection will be better so ymmv.

Its a Xbox SW thingy. That has do with the way XBOX decodes the audio and mixes with its own system sounds. And with Cortana in XB, i have no faith that MS will fix it. MS is not a Media company like Sony is - remember how Sony supported PS3 for DTSMA and Dolby Tru HD back in 2008-09?.

Unless you mean full dual HDMI, then I believe you are incorrect.

Here [samsung.com] is the back of the unit...

Also, it supports both audio formats via bitstreaming according to this article [highdefdigest.com].

Highly doubtful. Already a niche market product given more people care about ease of use (i.e. streaming) over quality (even if they own 4k TV's).

Xbox One S (and future gaming systems) will further cut into these sales for people on the fence that might have been considering it.
