I have the 40V and really like it, it's as strong as a gas trimmer. I got it on sale for not too much more than this 20V. I have quite of bit of land with a lot of trees and areas that I can't get with riding mower so I needed something a little more powerful. Most here with small yards to trim this will work just fine.

pretty sure there is a 15 off 50...which makes this a pretty good deal just for the batteries alone..

I got one of these a few weeks back. The battery does not last very long. When you start off (fully charged) it seems fairly powerful. After 5-10 minutes you can tell a difference in the power, and it gets weaker and weaker. I would classify this as for only light duty only. It also only has one string coming out, in comparison my gas powered one had a dual-string, not sure if that makes a difference in the efficiency. Also, personally I do not like the style of grip this thing has. It is also much shorter compared to my old gas edger so I have to hunch over which become more fatiguing.
