Nice. Was it refurbished? The cheapest I've seen for these was $50 when it was on FP the last time.

Sweet! I would've loved to have this set of speakers for that price. This makes me wanna actually try B&M shopping again for BF!

These set of speakers are really old and discontinued by manufacturer. Good luck with the search. I got a new one and it's really great for a small room.

Mine had a regular thumping sound even when nothing should have been playing. Logitech replaced them under warranty and the replacement had the same problem. Switched to a different model and no issues now. I've read of others with the same issue but I don't know how common it is. Just an FYI.

It absolutely true 5.1 if you have a sound card capable of encoding 5.1 with Dolby Live or DTS Neo. I have this set with a Creative Sound Blaster Z and it will indeed play movies in true Dolby 5.1 and DTS. To play games in 5.1 you just enable Dolby Live encoding which will play sound in games out of the correct channels in any title featuring surround sound. Please don't spread misinformation. I've had this set for a couple years now and am extremely satisfied with it.. perfect for gaming and movies on the PC on a budget. They're even fine for music if you have a small to medium room. The sub hits harder than you'd expect. Explosions and gunshots are deep and accurate sounding.

I can verify this, it's quite annoying when it happens.

Does anyone know if Best Buy will price match this? I don't think Fry's will, since when I worked there I didn't remember seeing meritline.com on our approved sellers list.

I had a set of Creative Inspire 5.1 since 2002 to 2016. It finally crapped out so I replaced with the Z506 from Target a month or so ago for $20 on clearance. Very happy with the Z506, just don't expect high performance from this price range. However, it outperforms the $20 price point by a mile.

I agree with you, $20 is a right price and NOT $46.99. Moderator please close this thread.

$47 is a fine price.. I bought mine on sale at Best Buy a couple years ago for $65 which was a great deal and I've never felt bad about it. $20 is damn near free, and is an epic deal, but I'm sure it's not common. You won't find 5.1 surround for less than $50 and if you do, it probably won't sound like these.
