Can anyone who owns this provide your opinion? I am looking for a messenger bag to carry my work laptop, 15" Dell Latitude, iPad, power supply, note pad and a few folders, and some cables for phone, waterbottle, etc. It looks pretty big for a medium and I'm looking for something relatively compact for the items I'm looking to carry.

It almost looks like the small size may be perfect for me but of course it's not discounted today.

TIA.

I own this exact bag and it's great. It's the perfect size for carrying my 13" laptop, files, water bottle, and the rest. Really well made, high quality. Easy access to your computer and tablet without opening the main compartment. I don't think it's too big. Highly recommend!

If you really want a deal: this worked a few weeks ago. Go to ebags.com and find the current version of the bag. Start a chat with ebags and send them the link to the amazon bag. They have a 110% price match policy. This took the price down to $48 (ebags didn't pick up on the fact that they were different versions). I had a 15 off 75 Amex offer at the time for ebags. Ebags requires you to purchase at full price and will issue the credit separately. So I purchased for 129 shipped, got 83 back from ebags and 15 from Amex. So $33 for the current version out the door. As OP said, fits 15s, but not my wife's 15.4 inspiron. Great bag for $33, $48, $56, whatever.

@pgrabow Good call. Unfortunately they caught that it was a different version, but turns out the new version is on Amazon for $64. So, I still came out ahead with the portal cashback on eBags (15%), and Amex offer ($15), plus got the new version out of it. Thanks!

I did this as well. eBags caught on to the difference in bags, but the updated version of the bag was approximately $64 at amazon, so I was able to purchase the 2015 version for a little more than $43 after price matching and the $15 AMEX offer. I received free 2-day shipping through shoprunner. I also used a cash back site since slickdeals did not have a link to the eBags version of the bag. This should save me another $6. Great deal! Reps to you. Thanks.

I own this bag and I am really impressed by the quality. I just used mine on a business trip this week and it was great. I feel this thing is built to last forever.

Going to give it a try - the laptop bag work provided is pretty poorly made. I hope this fits my Dell laptop. I figured I would take the risk since it is Amazon. thanks!

i have had a version of this bag for years, id say 6 or 7. I use it almost everyday and it was worth the ~$100 investment. I purchased an XL one at a xmas sale at the brick and mortar store in SF.

I abuse this bag and only 3 things have broken.
1. zipper broke for laptop compartment, timbuk2 fixed this by sewing it shut. This was free of charge, but took about a month. They also offered me $50 for another bag in store
2. water bottle holder on side got ripped beyond repair. I just cut it off.
3. one of the plastic cusps on the side broke. I just looped the strap through the canvas and it works fine.

I can not say how awesome this bag has treated me over the years and will buy a new one the day this one becomes unusable.
