your use of excessive punctuation made me unable to resist clicking on the deal, even though I don't have any intention of purchasing this.

Klipsch makes some great sounding speakers. I have their AW-650s on the patio and it's absolute bliss with a good receiver and sub. That said, the MSRP on these are too high. Who pays $500 for a pair of 80W speakers? The sale prices are a bit more in line with what should be paid.

Thanks! Agree with your assessment for the most part. For regular cabinet speakers I agree 100%! On good quality branded in wall speakers you pay a premium for good sound quality that resembles speakers with cabinets that are hidden... :0)

I used to run a home theatre dept and was always baffled at how ,much more expensive in walls are for good sound quality. There's also some of the thx line in sale from$1,000 to $350 that are nice!

Does anyone have experience mounting these in a wall? Do you build a box of some specific dimension within the wall for the best sound? I vaguely remember reading something to that effect. Or can I simply mount these flush to the drywall on my interior (uninsulated) 2X6 wall?

Does anyone have these? I'm building a home and need a set of speakers to fill a great room. Need some in wall fronts, in wall center, and in-ceiling surrounds. Thinking of picking up the most powerful PRO 6000 series offered as part of this deal and calling it done.

Also, how do these compare to the Klipsch CDT line?

For the I nwalls I've installed in the past, a template is provided which gives you the pattern to cut out in the dry wall. Next, a frame is installed which is provided with the speaker. The the speaker is installed. I haven't seen anyone build a box before... Which doesn't mean it hasn't happened, but I do not believe it's necessary.

For in-celling Atmos speakers, would these be a good fit for the 7.1."4" part?
