Joe's New Balance Outlet has the New Balance 1980GY Men's Running Shoe for $40 as their deal of the day. Dollar shipping available with DOLLARSHIP coupon code. Tax likely applies for most locations, bringing total around $44.

Yes, this is more than the 1980 has been recently ($8 more than recent FP deal) BUT this is not a men's shoe in pink like that one was. A better color may be worth the extra money for some...

EDIT: For comparison, this shoe in this color begins at $55 on Amazon. For my size (11) it is $80.

Also note that this was Competitor.com's 2015 shoe of the year. Great deal on a great shoe.

Should probably put "Fresh Foam Zante" as that's its more recognizable name.

But yeah not bad for some normal colored ones. Its typically hard to get these for less than $50

How does this compare to something like the NB1010? I'm not an avid runner and actually hate running, but enjoy tri's and see running as a necessary evil. I really love my NB1010, but NB stopped making them and all four pairs that I have are worn out.

Unless I am mistaken, the 1010 is a trail shoe, so comparisons may be hard to find. However, if you follow these two links, you can see the rankings for various areas of each shoe. If you really loved the 1010, this 1980 might seem a bit stiff for you... Hopefully this helps...

I love these shoes and have owned 3 pairs. The biggest downside is the top mesh doesn't seem to last long especially around the area where the shoe bends by the little toe. All 3 pairs were great while they held up. A little disappointing when I was buying them for $100 a pair but for $40 this is a great deal!
