I am very bad at parallel parking Smilie so looking to get something like this wireless battery powered backup camera:

This is ~$150 but I am trying to see if I can rig up some thing cheaper.

Things I need for wireless operation are:
1) Magnetic Base to move the camera from car to car (maybe a magnetic camera mount)
2) Battery Powered Camera (if the camera run on 5V, I can use a portable battery bank)
3) Display (I use a phone as GPS, so I can use it as a reversing monitor)

Any ideas on how this can be accomplished?

I am facing a Challenge is finding a camera that run on 5V and has it sown wifi hotspot (so that I dont need a wifi router in car).

Any ideas SDers...

i don't know.

but i would choose this shit. it's wired radar, not a camera.

do you really want to manually turn it on every time? or put it there when need it? if leave it there, may get stolen, or other bad driver break it, more expensive to replace.

i would choose one-time hassle hard wire cheap...

i never used one, maybe need to drill holes to make them good looking?

Drunk driving on the sea to find deals.

Battery powered "wireless" ain't gonna work. Cars get hot, batteries don't like heat, stop functioning / catch fire.

You'll need to get somebody to install a wired back up camera. Display it on a fixed screen on your infotainment stack or a custom rear view mirror. Trying to hold your cell phone while you parallel park isn't going to help it go any better.

I agree with others here that this really should be a wired system, with a semi permanent display. Battery and wireless will have a lot of issues that have been mentioned here.

Not sure what you have tried to do to improve or practice your parallel parking either but I would suggest buying some cones and practicing. I have always found the "By the Book" method by far the best. you might be able to find a better site. You might also contact a local driving school. I know the one in my area sells "time" for drivers to work on things. I had a friend who bought a couple hours to learn and improve their confidence in how to drive a manual transmission car before they left to go overseas. It made it much better than a family member or someone like that teaching them.
