The game bears an uncanny resemblance to the Sci-Fi film series CUBE in which people awake in a square room and are forced to solve mathematical puzzles, the price of failure being death. The consequences for failure--at least for the first few hours of gameplay--are not nearly as high in Q.U.B.E., but make no mistake, murder most foul is afoot. This game is psychologically manipulative and has an excellent and emotionally involved story line. The gameplay is smooth, the puzzles are first person kinetic and meticulously planned. I bought it for $9.99 six months ago and consider every penny of it money well spent. It's also a great game for toddlers and young children, assuming of course that you turn the sound off to stifle the sci-fi noir storyline.
Now you can get it for next to nothing, enjoy!
