movie sucked,
I went in with an open mind, and I found that I liked it a lot. It's not "classic" superman, and it may not be faithful to how many people remember the character, especially the reeves incarnation, but it's different and polarizing. It's beautifully shot, and the Hans Zimmer score is beautiful. You should give it another shot.

Agreed. It is beautifully shot. Like the beautiful sweeping shots of rustic Americana Smallville as Superman and two foes smash the town to pieces and surely kill everyone hidden inside. Then there was the beautiful shots of the modern day Metropolis, a beautiful thriving city, with beautiful thriving shots of it being smashed to pieces that would make Al-Qaeda blush. And of course there was the beautiful romantic shot of Supes and Lois sharing their first kiss over a pile of debris and dead bodies.

Sure, the movie makes no cents, and sure Superman and Lois makes jokes and get off on making out over a terrorist scene worse than 9/11, and sure you'd have to have a fetish for sitting thru that last hour of pointless death and destruction.

But hey, at least it was beautifully shot Roll Eyes (Sarcastic)

It's a movie dude, not your social studies ethics paper. this is why you don't enjoy things. and yes, those people died in Metropolis, that's what happens during war, people tend to die... would you rather the movie lied to you and showed Zod shooting rainbows and unicorn farts out of his eyes, while he planted daisies in the fields?
