I wonder how sketchy this thing would be with a 65" on it...

This should not be rated for 55". The wall bracket only spreads the load and twisting torque onto one stud. You would have to get your screw holes pretty exact to have any semblance of safety. Just not worth the headache. As a reference, I installed this bracket https://www.amazon.com/gp/product...UTF8&psc=1 and was able to to full extend the arm to either side and put my full body weight on it. If you don't know already, inspect the lag bolts that come with bracket and replace as necessary, drill the proper size pilot holes, and use some wax or thread lubricant to keep from twisting off the lag bolts heads.

Lol... that weight rating of 66 lbs...

If you aren't mounting this to backing or a stud... don't.

Have this mount and it's great. Only downside is that if your TV is a 32" (diag), you can see the mounting plate behind it (not the plate on the wall, but what actually attaches to the tv. anything bigger than 32", this is a MUST. It's a great mount.

For 32" and under, I purchased the mount in the OP.

I would suggest watching a Youtube video on it. It's super easy to do, even if you aren't a handy person. You just need a stud finder, a drill, and some wrenches to screw the bolt in to the stud.
