lowes in store only gift cards

I noticed that raise has lowes gift cards for in store only--I use gift cards( not merch credits) all the time on line at lowes without a problem--does anyone know what the difference is between lowes gift cards that you can use on line and the raise cards?

I got a couple of them with the fathers day sale of extra 5% off.
They are merchandise credit not gift cards.
I ordered 3 of different amounts for the first time. I did it on the 17th of june.
I'm still missing 1 of the 3 and have been in contact with raise.
What I found out is the card actually comes from whoever had it and they mail it to you.
I was notified on the shipping and it showed the order of 3 cards and said shipped, but when i got the first envelope it only had one card. Then couple days later notice of shipped again showing full order but then when it arrived it was only the second one..
Any way both that came had the correct amount but kinda strange the way it is handed off to the original owner to perform.
Still in limbo on the 3rd and will get refund if not arrived by July 5th.
Also note they debit your charge on the original day of the order so they are sitting on my $ since the 17th.
These cards have pins and they are exposed so it's like a cash card. But on the other side of it lowes didn't ask for any id or anything.
