Wrong, most of the songs are not pop there are some but there's a crapload of metal and rock from classic to current, more of those than pop. I just so happened to fire this game up for a few hours yesterday as it had been a while since I played and I still enjoy it a lot, fantastic game imo. The GHTV you earn in game credits to buy plays to play whatever songs you want, but 99% of my time in game has just been playing whatever comes on the one of 2 streaming channels that constantly change the lineup it's very enjoyable. I'd say I've probably put 100+ hours in just doing that and you get a crapload of credits easily to be able to play whatever songs you want.

was pretty psyched about purchasing until I started reading the reviews.. apparently songs in the playlist are mostly pop songs- in addition, additional songs require a purchase to play (per single song play), forcing you to take a path towards microtransactions.

It explains why the prices are so cheap- classic activision, I guess?

I would like to hear from past owners of the game bundle and hear their take.

Thanks for the post OP- I personally will wait

i see. I saw one of the people asking for a songlist and below are the songs that it came with:

The Black Keys - "Gold on the Ceiling"
Blitz Kids - "Sometimes"
Ed Sheeran - "Sing"
Fall Out Boy - "My Songs Know What You Did in the Dark (Light Em Up)"
Gary Clark, Jr. - "Don't Owe You a Thang"
Green Day - "Nuclear Family"
The Killers - "When You Were Young"
The Lumineers - "Ho Hey"
My Chemical Romance - "Na Na Na"
Pierce the Veil - "King for a Day (feat. Kellin Quinn)"
The Rolling Stones - "Paint it Black"
Skrillex - "Bangarang"
The War on Drugs - "Under the Pressure"
Black Veil Brides - "In The End"
Rage Against the Machine - "Guerrilla Radio"
Judas Priest - "Breaking the Law"
Pantera - "Cowboys From Hell"
Sleigh Bells - "Bitter Rivals"
System of a Down - "Chop Suey!"
Alter Bridge - "Cry of Achilles"
Alt-J - "Left Hand Free"
Broken Bells - "Leave It Alone"
Red Hot Chili Peppers - "Higher Ground"
The Pretty Reckless - "Going to Hell"

are there more available now?
How long did it take you to amass enough credits to start being able to go online and play the songs you wanted without having to worry about money?
Also, I heard some complaints about the new guitar design- did you have issues with it?

thanks for your input

I haven't played GH Live in a while but once I burned through the campaign modes, I only played GHTV and On Demand. You earn credits just by playing, maybe every few songs you'd play, you get some credits or whatever. I never got really low on in game credits to worry about not being able to play whatever in demand songs wanted. And the two streaming channels keep you from spending them as well sometimes.

Damn, this is an incredible deal! It's out of stock now, but they're still honoring the price and will ship when it's available. At this price, it's worth buying two copies just to get a second guitar.
