FYI, the TP link support process is horrible, they will drag you for months, and not replace defective routers. This router worked for 6 months or so, then started having issues. TP Link did not care at all, mostly asked to upgrade firmware and provide more and more details about the problem (5g network disappearing, 2.4g network not usable)

I have this router. Works very smoothly. When I first got it there were issues and connection kept dropping. Got a replacement that has been sold for the past three years.

Don't try to flash 3rd party firmware unless you are familiar with tftp and plan on investing considerable time

The C7 seems to have very mixed reviews. I've been eyeing it for a while. Will have to pass.

I've been looking to get one of the v2s for around $60.. just about never goes this low.. despite Walmarts unicorn sightings of below $50 1900ac routers

I have the AC1750 and it just works, it is paired with gigabit internet and runs an easy 850mb+ up and down for an extended period of time. It is heavily taxed with internal network data transfers and it hums along. I've had mine for over a year and a half without a reset, hang, or anything questionable. Good stuff fo sho!

This is a solid pick for a router. http://thewirecutter.com/reviews/...fi-router/
I almost got one, but ended up going with the C8 instead of the C7 because I happened to find a really good deal on it.

Great router... Installed 3rd party firmware on the first day and never looked back... Also functions as a mini nas with 64gb flash drives.

Looking for a cheap router for work at a hospital. Basically, I would bring it with me and use it for 2-3 days/month. Anything good under $50?
