Firestone is running a 10% off service promotion until July 3rd. If you have a car you plan on keeping for a while I highly suggest the lifetime alignment.

Here are the Ts & Cs:
Offer Valid June 27, 2016 - July 3, 2016.

Most vehicles, installation required. Save an additional 10% off our current lowest advertised price. Offer excludes Tires, Gift Cards & Government Fees. Offer cannot be combined with other discount programs. See store for full details. Not to be used to reduce outstanding debt. No cash value. Shop supply charges in the amount of 6% of labor charges will be added to invoices greater than $35. These charges will not exceed $25 and represent costs and profits. Shop supply charges not applicable in CA or NY. Non-mandated disposal or recycling charges, if any, may also represent costs and profits. Valid at your participating Firestone Complete Auto Care, Tires Plus, Hibdon Tires Plus and Wheel Works store. Offer void where prohibited.
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Friends don't let friends take their vehicles to Firestone. Nevertheless, this thread will get a ton of TUs.

Care to explain or are you just here to thread crap? LMAOLMAO

I've had good experiences with their lifetime alignment services. I go elsewhere for tires to get a better value.

firestone is perfect for alignments, but not perfect for service lmao and you dont need this coupon to get a deal on a lifetime alignment you can usually call and talk to one of the managers and get it for $149.99 - $159.99, if one store says no, call another store, once they bite, go to that store, pay for it and your good as it works at any firestore

everytime I get anything done at firestone the list of work they think I need done is insane. I go there for oil changes and haven't had any issues with that but I do get annoyed of arguing with them that i don't want all that work done.

Okay so they aren't perfect and probably try to sell things you may not need. But isn't that true for most dealers and other such shops? I do find their lifetime alignment a good value and have it on both my cars

it's official. the California Bureau of Automobile Repair found “unnecessary services being sold to consumers, potential fraud, charging for services that weren’t performed, significant oversell.”

I did a couple of oil changes before and they did suggest a battery change and I only did it because my battery was 6 years old. Now I'm wondering if my battery was in fact dying.

anyway, 3.5 years down the road, I'm back for 45% off a replacement.

This time I'm a bit more savvy. They let an amateur do the replacement, couldn't answer any questions. Didn't clean the contacts with a wire brush until I made him do it. Didn't have battery terminal grease for the installation, sprayed something on it he didn't have any idea what it was. Finally, did not hook the cables up to a spare battery when taking off the old battery. My usual mechanic mentioned this earlier and I forgot to make him do it. all my settings went to default! Radio stations, compass, speedometer (i was keeping track of when to do next oil change on my "trip b".

I would have been better doing it with my online knowledge and talking to my regular mechanic.

I was hesitant to go back to them for the replacement battery and only did it because I could get a credit on the warranty period.

Keep hearing how they come up with this whole list of things for people to replace and it just seemed slimy.

Never again.
