Think most of us are looking for laptops but since they are over priced these days I may consider a small foot print desktop or an all in one unit. Got rid of all my desktops years ago.

It's decent, CPU is about 6500, single core 1800. Adequate for mid level gaming with a GTX960 and new power supply. Not the best deal in the world, but if you must have new.... Also, I'm just going to assume the PS is standard or a standard PS will fit. I know they do on most dells and lenovos. Not sure about Acer. I know most HPs don't take a standard PS, if you look at the screw pattern for the PS on the back of the unit that will usually tell you.

Just be aware if you troll ebay for surplus workstations, you can get entire computers shipped for less than the price of the CPU new. Some of these were $1700-$2100 in 2011-2012, they are solid, heavy machines. Check CPU performance, especially single core, some of them are dogs. Also, some are high wattage and you don't probably want that either. My current favorite is the E3-1245. It's 95 watt TDP, but it's well over 8000 passmark and over 1800 single core performance. You can get a whole computer used with one (no keyboard or mouse or power cord) for $150 shipped on the right day. With a Windows 7 pro COA. You can still upgrade to 10 for a month for free if that floats your boat. If not, 7 is supported until mid 2019 anyway.

I don't know, I love mini-towers. Used, they are dirt cheap, they can be turned into anything you want from media machines to medium gaming machines. They have a ton of flexibility and the ability to drive TV sets and multiple monitors. They are cheap enough that you can have them for when you are at home AND the portable stuff for when you aren't.

COUPON CODE DOES NOT WORK. This looks solid just had problems with acer laptops so I'm reluctant about buying.
