Aren't graphic cards are going to drop even more after the new 10000 series coming out?

There is no way the Rx 480 will top the gtx 980.
Source: I am no way an expert on GPU, just not buying the Rx 480 hype

2 of these in SLI will give you almost same power as a 1080 for $100 cheaper, down side is that you need sli compatible mobo and 850W PSU (I have the same set up).

Not a bad deal, but it heavily depends what the 4xx series looks like when reviews drop tomorrow.

I'd take even a blower style 980 over a 390 any day, and the 390's have been going for about 300 lately.

the just leaked rx 480 gaming benches puts it just at 970, so this is more like a supposed price at this level. if it's $250 it's a slickdeal

All the leaked benchmarks put the $199 RX480 at GTX 980 performance.

Nothing wrong with blower style fan. Pushes all the hot air out instead of circulating inside your already hot box. If good quality fan is used, it's every bit as quiet as open air type.

Except many games have issues with SLI. A single card is usually more hassle free.

Tomorrow morning you'll be able to get the brand new rx480 which should perform at or slightly under this card for $199 to $239. It'll have newer features, a longer life, and use less power. I'd say after tomorrow this card will have a fair value of $250. Also if the 1070 ever actually hits it's MSRP of $380 it might be a better value.

Actually Amazon is selling the 480 right now. Professional reviews wont come until tomorrow though.

No they don't. With only 4gb of vram? Just stop.

1. Benchmarks don't lie.
2. The GTX 980 only has 4gb of vram.
3. The RX480 has up to 8gb vram

Very true! I gave up on dual card setups. It's tempting to buy a more affordable card with plans to add another later, but now I save up a little more and go with the single card that will meet my needs for the next couple years. I just upgraded my pc from a 760 to a 1070.

Your leaked benchmarks lied. The 480 gets barely to the 970 as the real benchmarks released today clearly show. At no point was this card ever going to be at a 980 level. It's a good card for a great price. But it's nowhere near the FUD you were spreading.
