great price on the R, but Id go with the P.

The R was mostly a tech demo/R&D sink. Almost no owners of the set.

What? Tons of people own the R65. It absolutely destroys the P series!!!! This price is a no brainer!!!! Best LED ever, PERIOD!! OLED is still an evolving tech. Three more years before OLED is at it's peak.

tons of people?
This set was sold in a very limited distribution model
I think Vizio can honestly say this was a flop
To boot it is behind the times in technology since its basically a 2 year old set now

In no way would I spend $3K on this..and frankly I think it will go lower
This set placed last, among flagship TV's, in the Value electronics shootout held recently

That was at a $6K pricetag. At $3K or less, you won't find anything better. Also, it's future proof. The tech was ahead of it's time.

Honestly...for the $2300 the Samsung 65JUS9500 can sometimes be brought at Fry's I would go that route
and if you dont have to have HDR...the Sony 65X950B that can be bought at Fry's for $1800( on and off) is a better set( minus HDR) than either this Vizio or the Samsung

I dont think this set will sell out at $2995...I say it will go lower

This set was an albatross to Vizio
A Vizio P series gets you almost there

Say what?! LMAO A P series isn't even HALF of what this TV is!! $3K is too much to pay for any TV IMO. But, when this hits $2K or less with free shipping and no tax, I'm all over it!! Best 65" set for gaming as well. $1500 would be a Godsend. Big Grin
