Is this a high quality drive? I think this is the cheapest highest GB/dollar deal I've seen for a SSD since I joined slickdeals around a month ago

No, it's not a particularly high quality SSD. But it's cheap: http://ssd.userbenchmark.com/Comp...77vsm76610

They are very similar to the Mushkin Eco 3 deal posted a few days ago: http://slickdeals.net/f/8876015-mushkin-enhanced-eco3-2-5-480gb-sata-iii-tlc-internal-solid-state-drive-ssd-95-free-shipping

High quality? Its one of the lowest quality SSD drives you can buy. TLC memory based....

I'm looking for a SSD to use to store my music collection for my car head unit, so I'm not particularly worried about speed, but GB per $ is important for me. Is there any reason this drive would not be a good purchase at this price for my need?

Why wouldn't a 256GB thumb drive work for less? Toss and replace if it dies on you.

my (FLAC) music takes more than 256GB. I ended up buying a 480GB SSD and it's 70% full already... If I can ever get the unit to allow TIDAL to save offline files to removable storage it'll fill up easily. This SSD drive is $90, rough price for a 256GB flash is $60, 512GB are $170+.
