Picked one up about a month ago for $22 w./ flex shaft. Pretty good for the price. So far i've used it to trim my dogs nails and cut a few holes in my plastic bumper. The cutting wheels that come with it suck so pickup some good ones

Bought one and returned it. Variable speed didn't work. Read the review. A lot of people received them like this or the variable speed stops working over time. Bought a Dremel instead, and the quality is worth the price.

The last thing I need right now is another rotary tool - I currently have two Dremels and a Hitachi cordless tool - but I'm considering getting this just for the cutting disks, sanding barrels, etc. I could also use an extra flex shaft but I've heard that the Wen version tends to get a little melty on the inside after light use. Anyone have any experience with it?

Good backup for when my Dremmel finally eats it.
I have a few ceiling fan motor dimmers, so I can always use that for variable speed control if it dies on the main unit.
The dentist will see you now...

Wen will it break. Right now!!. I wouldn't buy this if it was $1. Quantity over quality no thanks I value my body parts and safety very dearly.

Haven't had any issues with mine, I've used it a few times. It fits Dremel accessories if I remember correctly, so that's a plus!
I bought this over the Dremel because it is cheaper and from what I read, all these types of tools end up kicking the can after a while.

It's probably made in the same factory from the same parts as the name brand, but they sell it for a quarter the price because they don't advertise and don't mark-up for the name.
