I been here 5 years and barely begun to mess with the irrigation system(installed by pevious owner).hunter xcore was given to me by brother.i tested one of the 6 valves.flow control doesn't seem to work.it goes full pressure.should I replace the valve or repair? valve is lawn genie.which brand/model should I get if I need replacing?

Hard to understand what you are asking? Why don''t you want full pressure ?Does the valve have a stem on it to reduce pressure? If not isn't the sprinkler adjustable ?

well i tried it about a year ago.i remember opening one of the valves.it would leak from the pvc 2 way pipe(shown in pic) i thought maybe with flow control that black adaptor wouldnt leak? it leaks from the black hose adaptor that is attached to the pvc 2 way.looks like too much pressure when it comes through?

Can't get your pictures to load, so its hard to see. If I remember correct the black knob on top of the Genie valve is to reduce pressure. The other is the bleeder valve to turn it on or off. Can't see what the connection is in the 4th photo.

If you really think its the knob or any other part of the valve and you want to replace it, here is a tip: Buy the same valve and just replace the upper body with the new upper body, that is unless you have a sprinkler parts place that sells just the upper body. It is usually just as cheap to buy a new valve of the same model.
This will save you the trouble of having to replace the whole valve. Much easier.
Be careful when seating the diaphragm to get it right.

They can be hard to turn...try the others. Are they the same way?

They probably have them, make sure to get same model to use the upper body. The screw holes and diaphragm have to fit right.

Take the picture with you

If valve is set to off and water is still coming out of sprinkler head, then diaphragm probably needs replacing. Where is it leaking at the valve? Just how old are these valves?

well it's leaking at two valves.if I top other end of PVC pipe.water comes back to valves leaking.i been here about 5 years.i don't know how old these are.they were here already.they leak at the area where it has holes.it looks like a cap.under the cap there's a black o ring

I meant inside the cap there is a black o ring

Description is vague and is hard to understand. Try to upload a smaller size photo, that shows where its leaking.
