List prices look terrible compared to yesterday.

Thanks OP, the code works for monitors, not sure why anyone would thumbs down.

Because yesterday was 35% off and dell did jack up their prices prior to coupons. No deal here IMHO

it is all relative I picked up a Dell workstation with 8GB RAM and 2 1TB drives for 500 bucks it is selling for a little over 1K now with a list price of 1400.00

I think the server deals are still there and they put new systems in all day long the filter is not working as there are 6th gen processors available but no way to filter on them.

Actually, Dell lowered their prices yesterday while the coupon was active. Many folks scored crazy deals. Prices are mostly back up now though.

Wanted to buy one of these yesterday (Latitude E7270 w/ i7 Q6600, 8GB ram, 256GB NVMe SSD and 55Wh battery @ $839 or about $550 after coupon) but now that it's working again (the site was screwed up during the 35% off sale yesterday), this deal is 5% worse, and that configuration is no longer available.. Never once have I been happy about a dell outlet sale. Every time there's a good one they've got server issues.

I think it's more about what's still available than Dell altering prices.

No...check yesterday's thread. Whether they lowered prices or not, they definitely had the same spec items listed at high prices, then low prices and then at high prices again.

There are different configs even if it doesn't really indicate as much on the main page. Some have higher capacity batteries (i.e. 37Wh vs 55Wh), or come with more accessories. It took me quite a while to figure out why some laptops of the same model with the same specs shown on the main list were different prices, but there's a reason (and it's not them dicking with pricing).

Hey, I thought the same thing until I saw it myself. I bought an optiplex 7040 yesterday (i7 6700, 16GB DDR4, 500GB 7400RPM, mini tower) for $304 after discount (469 pre-discount). Same config (only diff is SFF vs mini-tower and mine came with better GPU) is in the inventory right now for $729 pre-discount. Cannot explain a 50% diff like this on a simple desktop. For about 1 hour yesterday, there were a sea of these cheap i7 7040 machines (had 4-5 in my cart at one point). And once they sold, none have come back. Wish I bought more than 1!

They definitely do mess with the prices at their discretion. I don't know if they do it to items existing in inventory or just modify prices for same-spec items as they come into stock, but it's effectively the same thing in a high volume environment like this.

You have to remember it is kind of like the airlines selling seats. Dell wants to get some income on the books for June, so they create a real buzz with the great prices, then they go up until the sales slack off then they go back down and so one. I got a decent deal last week and a great one yesterday on a Precision workstation and a decent deal today on one. They had a killer server deal yesterday the memory alone was more that the server and the Optiplex I purchased for 50 bucks more than Newegg has the i7 processor for. You need to know your stuff and buy quick putting several items in your cart is not always smart, 15 minutes and they go poof, then you get a message about items in your cart, try to fix that and your next item has now gone poof. Better to use 2 browsers and order one at a time.

Congrats on the 7040 score. I am using one of the 7040 "micro" versions with SSD as an HTPC. Perfect form factor and totally silent.
