new Nexus phones will be released this quarter. they will have daydream VR and the 5 goes back to a true 5" so it's not so large again.

those are the rumors

super unhealthy for the Nexus ecosystem for prices to fluctuate.
still, great deal!

This phone or the new Moto G4? I'm really liking the Best Buy deal but is the 5x hardware better even though it's about a half-year older? I'm currently using a Droid Bionic from...awhile...ago. Man, I've loved that phone!

Damn. Any way, for me to get this discount, having ordered the 5X a couple days ago? Yes. I'm this cheap.

I asked the seller last time around. the response was kind of generic, but they said it came with a 30 day warranty from them and if I didn't like it I could return within the 30 days. seems more like a return policy than a warranty, but that's what they've told others too.

1) 5X has NFC, G4 doesn't.
2) 5X has 808 for the CPU, G4 has a 617:

https://www.qualcomm.com/products...comparison
3) 5X is Nexus Google phone, this warranties frequent updates to the OS. G4 I doubt is going to be updated that often.

Other specs:

I wouldn't buy either of those 2 phones but if both were free I would pick the 5X.

Which phone would you buy and why? I ended up getting the 5X, myself, and now I'm regretting it because of lack of MicroSD slot.

The Nexus 5X prices don't fluctuate much besides going down. What was unhealthy was trying to sell this phone originally for 400USD or more (for 32GB version). That was just too much. This phone was a bad value at that price (any Snapdragon 808/810 flagship phone was a bad value at its sticker price). At 240-250USD, it's more than a fair value. Should have been priced like this since the beginning.
