Looks like this is the cheapest this receiver has been. Just ordered one for in store pick up. I was able to apply my promo code online. I will be replacing an older Onkyo that does not have airplay/wifi or 4k pass through. Now I can't wait for the 2016 Vizio M70 to go on sale.

This is a better deal, especially in terms of user-friendliness and audio calibration (the 545 dropped Audyssey's famous MultEQ and replaced it with their own in-house solution instead).

If I remember correctly, the S710W was also one of the Wirecutter's favorite AVR picks.

The M70 was on sale, shortly after launch, search the SD hot deals section.

Just ordered a refurb Onkyo 646 today for $299. Opinions on this Denon vs the Onkyo? particularly for 2 zone use, 4k content, and digital sources?

Does Fry's just stock two of these things for shipping every time it goes on sale?

I bought this as a referb around black Friday at Acessories4Less.com for $330 (then I added a $40 3 year service plan because it's a refurb) it's been great to me. I have it set up in my bedroom. I paired it with the infamous Monoprice 10565 speaker package. TV, movies, and music all sound and look great!

It has dolby Atmos and DTSX which I haven't been able to try yet because I couldn't justify spending $200+ on Atmos speakers. (Meh has a slickdeal today for pioneer AJ Atmos add-on speakers for under $80 which I promptly bought today when it was going for 74+sh+tax. I'm eager to see how this tech sounds. So if your interested I'd look into it.)

This AVR has so many bells and whistles (a couple of my favs are it's wireless and Bluetooth capabilities) and for under $270 it's a steal. I totally recommend. Smilie
