Looks like its time to upgrade to D7200 from D7100. very good deal this one.
What are the chances that the ebay bucks will be back?

I'm looking to buy a DSLR. I'm a beginner but I have the money to spend. Would it be a bad idea for a beginner to get this camera?

I recommend beginners go for something nearer the D3200. D7200 had many advanced pro-sumer features you probably won't use, and they add weight and cost.

I say this because most beginners (and many long time users) won't use the bracketing, raw files, custom white balance, custom front buttons, lens fine tuning, metal frame, etc etc. I've lost count of how many people have picked up my D7000 and accidentally changed settings or took photos with wrong settings all day on accident. And I have friends who bought SLRs thinking they'll get better photos, but then never brought it with them on trips because it was "too heavy!" There's nothing wrong with buying a camera with more features, but it is possible to get more camera than you may want to handle.

But yeah, if you got a few hundred $ or the time to burn, buy it and sell if it doesn't work for you.

They only happen every tuesday/wednesday. Though right now there's the 15$ off 75$ so something is better than nothing

Great deal on an excellent, advanced entry-level dslr. However, if it were me getting this camera I would not want those kit lenses. I guess for a brand new beginner they're ok, or for someone who doesn't ever expect to advance in photography, but for that person, this camera is more than needed, and I think they'd be better off with a d3300 refurb with same lenses for about half this.

I'm with otter. This is a great body, and great deal, but the only person it's ideal for is a beginning photographer who is ambitious and wants their camera body to grow with them. Because for anyone getting at all serious about photography--which I'd say this body is ready for--those kit lenses need to be replaced asap.
