Amazon has the Cricket Wireless BYOD Starter Pack on sale for $2.99. These can be used to take advantage of the current $35 BYOD credit as well as the various other credits up to $135/line (see this thread). Send me a PM if you're new to the Cricket "game" and would like some advice on how to maximize all the available credits.

This is the lowest price ever at Amazon according to Tres Camels as these normally retail for $9.99. Prior deal thread got +31 votes at $4.99.

Cricket is still the best deal around for 5 lines ($100 incl tax), each with their own data... throttle after data cap is great for kids. TU

Do these sims qualify for credits? Previous deals required sims from Cricket.

Better to get HTC 512 for $10 if you need a SIM card.

Yes, the terms of the current promo are different than in the past and these expressly qualify (the terms mention sims purchased from national retailers this time). Also, when you go to activate the BYOD sim, the Cricket website will show you a window confirming the credits that your port is eligible for which will confirm the $35 credit.

Don't you have to buy the SIM card separately even if you get the HTC 512 through Cricket?

Worst case scenario, walk into a Cricket store and they'll make the switch.

I bought a device through Cricket and it included a SIM, so most likely 'no'. I believe they assume your current SIM won't fit.

You lose the $35 BYOD credit if you do, so that's only the better option if you value the HTC 512 at $42 or more ($10 HTC phone cost + $35 BYOD lost - $2.99 sim card cost saved)
