When you enroll for an edu account (Note: You can use an email address, does not have to be a .edu), SKU: 5216805 is included as one of the blue label laptops that you can get $150 off with. So in turn it drops it down to $749.99 + Tax. It also comes with a Kaspersky Internet Security 3 Device 1 Year Subscription for free. Free Shipping or Store Pick-Up

Shipping is free. No tax in some states like Delaware, etc. If you are a Rewards Zone (RWZ) member, you get an additional $15 in RWZ back ($750/ $250 = 3 RWZ certificates). 1% Back for me through Chase Rewards Mall.

Can anyone confirm that this is all aluminum?

Its kind of heavy. Picked mine up today. Its about 6.5lbs, heavier than a bunch of other laptops I have, and it feels like aluminum. Dell's page says aluminum.

ASUS is nice with all those USB 3.0 slots, but not a 17" screen. Does it have an M.2 slot?

Looks like you save 2.18lbs with the Asus. There are conflicting reports but it does not look like the Asus has a M.2 slot.
