Sweet, thanks for the info OP. It's about time Verizon steps up and actually competes with the other major providers.

Looks like TMo / John Legere has put enough pressure to get VZW to take a look at their plans. Let's see what they copy next from TMo Smilie I was a long term VZW customer (10+ years) but wallet has thanked me since moving to TMo. Honestly, service has NOT been a problem for me since being on TMo except for when we traveled to a very remote location, ATT and VZW serviced the area, I had to walk about 1/8 mile to find a good signal.

awesome....you mean I get to finally keep what I've been paying for? They should give us back pay data from all the data they took from us. That would definitely be a good start.

This is great news. Get both the best of network and pricing. For a big state like California having good 4G coverage is important for people who travel a lot.

Looks like it won't apply to the More Everything plans. As stupidly named as they are, they're still the best value.

Wow looks legit. Almost too good to be true. I've been with Verizon since 2005, and this goes against every single thing they're about....aka trying to cop every last penny from customers they can.

I know being with VZW sorta goes against slickdealing, but all friends and family in my area have various service quality issues with all 3 of the other main providers. That kind of thing is a huge pet peeve for me so it was worth it for me to spend more. I can't remember a single time I had a dropped call that wasn't due to tunnel/inside of a building/basement etc.

If this happens, gonna drop my data plan quick!!

There is a post on Reddit [reddit.com] with a supposed leaked document [imgur.com] from Verizon that shows this is definitely true. I guess it could be fake, but right now all signs point to a 99.99% chance this is for real.

If source is accurate, it indicates that unused data will roll over to the end of the following month.
