I'm pretty sure this deal applies to those with a Micro Center in the area, so YMMV

Great deal for a 6th gen i7 laptop with a 512GB SSD. Recertified means 90day warranty. MC offers 3 year plans at $150. Screen is 1080p. Internal video card - sorry gamers. Goes for $900+ new

I think you mean integrated. Good deal regardless.

Just picked one up. It is a very beautiful looking laptop. Almost missed this since it was out of stock back home, but i happen to be out of town for the 4th and it's available in a Microcenter nearby.

The specs on this thing is great considering the price.

Thanks for the heads up OP!

Does not seem worth $180 more than the R 14 that was on Slickdeals back in May, unless you really really need a slightly faster processor and more SSD space. Pass.

Hi guys, I'm not very tech savvy, but would this computer be pretty good for a side computer? I stream/make youtube videos on my desktop PC. I plan to use this for casual gaming (Maybe like Binding of Isaac/old Final Fantasy games) and mostly viewing videos. Would this be a good computer for me to pick up? I love getting a really good deal and I don't want to spend like $1,500 on a gaming laptop.

The other 2 deals I was looking at was:

I got this laptop about a month ago from acer during one of their scratch and dent sales. It has been a good laptop so far. Only cons are it's a little bit heavy for its size, the power plug is flimsy, the screen could be brighter, and the backlit keyboard is lit a bit uneven.

By the way Acer has the I5 version for sell with 256gb ssd for $400. Scratch and dent. link [acerrecertified.com]

I don't think u ever used IPS or OLED display. It's difficult to downgrade once you had the experience. It's like using standard disc drive coming from SSD.

FWIW, i process photos, videos and do design work on an old 2600k/SSD's-only rig without issues. This laptop should perform just as well, with the benefit of being mobile, which is exactly what i needed for working remotely. Can't speak for gaming though.

It looks pretty good to me. New almost. No dings, scratches, smudges and whatnot. I asked to inspect the boxed product becore commiting to purchase. Only thing that gave it away as not being new is the brown packaging.

Microcenter offered it. Prices ranged from $69 to $120 or so depending on what you wanted. I declined but have a few days to change my mind on it.

On the I5 R-14 deal there was a lot of people that had to return them due to problems that should have be identified during the re-certification process. Me included. I didn't lose any money, but total waste of time.
