Anyone know if they make ultra wide display monitors like this? Meaning, 144 Hz at 1440p?

Thanks for the post, sonic99.

can't say for sure but the highest refresh rate I've seen on an ultrawide 1440 is 75 that can overclock to 100.

Not really; I'd argue 4.4/5 is good. [amazon.com]

I don't think this is a good deal personally. The ASUS Designo MX27AQ is cheaper and IMO a better deal.

The Asus monitor you linked has nothing to do with this one. This is a gaming monitor, it has NVIDIA G-Sync, 144 Hz Refresh Rate, 1ms Response Time which you dont have on the MX27AQ. if you were to compare this monitor to a Asus with the same spec it would be this one Link PG278Q [newegg.com] for about ~$190 more.
One thing to notice that this monitor is a TN panel while the other (edit: MX27AQ) is IPS. For most people they would probably chose IPS over TN even though you get a higher response time, I believe the lowest I have seen for a IPS is 4ms.

Either way this monitor just hit frontpage less than a month ago for $10 less Link. Actually for me the other deal was quite better because I dont get charged tax from newegg, but I do from bestbuy.

The ASUS PG278Q has always been a TN panel. The ASUS PG279Q on the other hand is a IPS panel.

I just wanted to put out the correct information as to not confuse folks. Big Grin

I have the PG279Q and I am glad I went with an IPS panel.

I just bought this monitor at $499 from best buy....damn! Anyways this monitor is superb, I paired it with my gtx 1070, and some color calibration and games look awesome! The TN panel had me worried but once the colors were calibrated it looks srjnnkng. One thing that is important here is that this also comes with g-sync and its a 2k monitor. Any other comparible monitor will run $150+ more for all these specs.
