So I stumbled across this Porter Cable 8 piece set Item # 623082 Model # PCCK619L8 combo today. Overall seem like a really nice all around set of tools to have. Mostly good reviews on Lowe's and Amazon NOT brushless at this price but you can barely get a 2 piece set from the top tier names.

I was waiting for the Ryobi ultimate 6 piece set to go on sale again (from April 2016) at Home Depot but that hasn't come around again. Also Ryobi combo sets usually only have 2 smaller 1.5A batteries and a regular xenon bulb in the flashlight (not very efficient).

This kit includes the following tools and model numbers:
1/2" Drill/Driver PCC601
1/4" Impact Driver PCC641 (This is not an impact wrench)
6 1/2" Circular Saw PCC660
Reciprocating Tiger Saw PCC670
Jig Saw PCC650
Oscillating Multi-tool (vibrating) PCC710
Cutoff tool/grinder PCC761
LED flashlight PCC700
(1) 1.5aH battery PCC680
(1) 4.0aH battery PCC685
(1) 1 amp charger PCC691
(2) kit bags

List price is $599 althought it seems to be selling for $399 everywhere. Lowe's sale price is currently $329 until 7/6. Price is IN-STORE Only.
It doesn't appear to have UPS/FedEx as a shipping option, so you'd have to pay for freight shipping ($75).

Use the USPS mover's coupon [usps.com] for $1 from USPS.com to get a 10% off at Lowe's and use it instantly. Brings it down to $296.10

http://www.lowes.com/pd/PORTER-CA...e/50247125

Deal breakdown:

$329 - 10% (~$33) = $296.10 + your local tax + $1(cost of coupon)

So after NYC sales tax (8.875%) it was about $322 OTD for me (most other states will probably be cheaper)

If you are a Discover card holder, you'll save an additional 5%. (another $15 bucks off)
$323 - 5% CB = $307 after NYC taxes with my Discover Card

You MUST go to their Discover's website and ACTIVATE the cashback bonus for this quarter (July through September)
If you purchase something through a post on our site, Slickdeals may get a small share of the sale.

Link added. Sorry. The SD system wasn't letting me preview before I post.

No. NOT made by Ryobi. Those guys (TTI) make Milwaukee and Ridgid.

Porter Cable is made by parent company Stanley Black & Decker. Who make Dewalt and MacTools..

You can get legitimate Lowes coupon codes by signing up for their emails towards the bottom of their home page or by using a movers coupon from USPS or your realtor if applicable.

If you get a Lowes code from any other source, it is derived from a mathematical hack that produces one-time-use codes that Lowes has already sent, or soon will be sending, to innocent customers that will lose their legitimately obtained discount if someone else uses their code before they do.

I'm all for getting the best deal, but not at the expense of innocent customers.

One way is if you are an US military veteran, you can get that discount until July 6th.[And again the around of Nov. 11th] (There is a year-round 10% off if one is a VA carded retired veteran, gets VA benefits, or active duty)

Quote :
Military Discount

Lowe's established the 10% Military Discount to support the men and women who are currently serving our country in the Armed Services1 and to honor Retired Veterans and VA Recipients.2 This 10% discount is also extended to the immediate family3 of those who are currently serving, Retired Veterans, or VA Recipients.
To qualify for the Everyday 10% Military Discount, you must:
Be currently serving in, or retired from, a qualifying branch of the Armed Services, or be the immediate family member of someone who is and have a valid military ID Card.
Or:
Be a veteran who receives VA benefits and have a valid Veteran Identification Card (VIC).
We honor all Veterans on three specific holidays: Memorial Day, 4th of July and Veterans Day. During these three holiday weekends, we extend the discount to all veterans who served honorably and who present a valid Form DD214 or other proof of service. The Lowe's Military Discount is extended to the Veteran community on these three holidays only.
The Military Discount must be used on personal purchases only and cannot be used for Lowes.com purchases, previous sales, or the purchase of gift cards or services including product installations. It cannot be combined with the Lowe's Price Guarantee, or promotions such as "Spend and Get," "New Mover," "Project Starter," "Your Choice," or discounts such as Quote Support Program (QSP) quotes.
  • 1 Armed Services -- US Army, US Navy, US Air Force, US Marine Corps, US Coast Guard, or the National Guard and who are in active, reserve, or retired status.
  • 2 Retired Veterans and VA Recipients -- Veterans who have retired after 20 years of service and/or those who receive VA Benefits
  • 3 Immediate Family -- Spouses and/or dependent children (up to 18 years old.)

Or you can scam a coupon off the internet.

Repped you too. I never knew there was a code generator. I got a mover's coupon a while ago and ran into that problem where the code was already used. I was wondering why that happened. Now I know. Pretty messed up.

Usps movers coupons no longer include Lowe's 10% off coupons. I don't know if their online website does if you sign up but not the physical in post office movers packet. I tried this back in April
