Anyone knowledgeable with how this phone stacks up?

This video posted on the last note 4 deal showcased its features. A lot of them looked very useful, albeit possibly just standard android features, so I'm not sure how much value they bring to the table. The stylus in particular is quite interesting to me though. Paired with a fingerprint scanner and OLED this seems like it could be a good choice for this price range.

But considering how old this phone is and how many other options are out there, I just don't know. Really looking for a $200ish or less android phone, not sure if I should bite, or just bide my time.

To differentiate this with the other carrier's GSM compatible Note 4's, these phones have the following LTE bands enabled by default:

T-Mobile Note 4 [SM-N910T] - 1,2,3,4,5,7,8,12,17 (NV Item 6828 = 67807)

AT&T Note 4 [SM-N910A] - 1,2,3,4,5,7,17,20 (NV Item 6828 = 589919)

Verizon Note 4 [SM-N910V] - 4,13 (NV Item 6828 =4104)

We opted to use unlocked & rootable T-Mobile Note 4 and Note Edge phones on AT&T (Cricket) since they've got the most LTE bands we need of the bunch.

50/50 chance that the phone has a balance on it. I've commented on this seller before. I've had good experience but the other times, the phones were duds - meaning they had a balance and the iemi wasn't clear.

Were they decent about getting the issue resolved?

Just got one from them 2 days ago. (They've sold 3000). This is my 3rd Note 4 refurb in 3 weeks and third time's a charm.

The first buyer I got one from advertised very good condition but it came with a half-inch deep scratch on the screen. It went back. The next buyer (also "very good") sent one a little better- it just had a quarter inch deep scratch on the screen and few few scruff marks. But it went back too. This one really is EXCELLENT condition ( although the battery's a little weak).

Since they usually come in refurb boxes from Samsung I had assumed the sellers didn't know what condition they really were and the 1st two sellers indicated this; I avoided the Woot for $199 because it was "scratch and dent"....wtf? But evidently this seller looks them over or only buys a special condition to begin with.

Beware of the other eBay mass sellers, usually in Brooklyn, advertising "very good" condition....they're not. They know many people will return the phone and make profit off those who don't bother. This guy in Lancaster, PA has the best Note 4 refurbs.

I was disappointed that the Note 5 killed the removable battery and micro SD card.

Note sure why the TD from some, but perhaps due to the model being refurbished and on eBay. At least, if you believe the seller, it's manufacturer refurbished. The price-point is about the lowest going for similar buys. eBay seems to be good about insisting sellers take items back if there are issues.

I just ordered this phone on the 27th from this seller. The phone had bad dents in the aluminum casing even though it was rated as "EXCELLENT". Seller refused to exchange, so I bought another one. Got the second one last week and it was IMEI blocked on T-Mobile.

Avoid these people.

Note 4 is my favorite phone of all time...and I've had most of the flagships over the years.

no issues with this seller. Bought a note 4 in March, little higher price then this one. Mine came almost new with less then 50 recharge count. It has 6.0.1 upgrade now for last fee days and works great. The seller is very reasonable when there is any issues. But regarding this post, the phone is at this price for last 2 months

I just switched from the Note 3 which I'll sell for about $100 less than my cost for this. My observations on the differences:

1. NFC is very important. I slapped Android Pay on it immediately and now pay by just tapping my cell on a terminal.....amazing.

2. Fast Charging is great. Much faster than normal charging.

3. Unfortunately you'll need that fast charging because the 4 drains quicker than the 3....UHD vs HD screen and faster processor.

4. Marshmallow IS coming to the 4 and NOT the 3.

5. You notice the 4 is heavier than the 3. Maybe not officially but that bigger battery makes it heavier.

6. The camera now has Stabilization (OIS) and I think more megapixels. Anyway...it's better than the 3's.

7. I rarely use the Stylus but hear it's much better on the 4 than the 3.

8. I don't use the fingerprint scanner either yet.

So the $100 is worth it (to me) for the Marshmallow, the NFC, Fast Charging, the faster processor, the UHD screen, better camera, fingerprint scanner and the better Stylus in that order.
