Thread Details

I signed up with an apartment where prices change everyday. Anyways I already signed the lease and I'm going to be moving in a few weeks. Well the prices for other rooms have dropped by like 80$. Do you think the apartment will let me change rooms before move in to lock in a lower rent?

I don't think that it will hurt to ask. But since you have already signed a lease and locked in at a particular rate, I don't think there would be much reason for them to give you the new reduced rate. Try to get in front of the property manager if this is a bigger community, the front line people probably have no power to make change to a lease.

They might do something are there any extras that you are paying for monthly like parking or utilities, that might be easier than canceling a lease even if they gave you one month free.

Never hurts to ask just be nice by asking and they might work with you I think it's always in their best interest to keep someone that easy to deal with and if so they will probably work with you.
